Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Coffs Harbour .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Coffs Harbour Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

The trainer was very helpful and knowledgeable. I achieved everything I'd hoped from this beginner class. (Now to practice it all!)

While driving to Dorrigo, NSW through Bellingen my wife said that would make a great photo, I'd driven past several times after and through I should have had a my Camera with me. A friend and I spend a day out shooting in February 25' and as we headed out of Bellingen we stopped here to take some shots. What an amazing paddock full of beautiful trees, this was the main driveway leading to presumably their home. I shot from the roadside with the Canon R5 and RF85L at f1.2 to get an amazing depth

This is actually two photos, taken at 5.33am and 5.34am one morning this week, stitched together using the Adobe Lightroom photomerge function and then edited. Settings were ISO3200, f3.5, 15 s. I actually took three photos in a row covering the full arch of the Milky Way but unfortunately couldn't get one of them to merge - need to try again!

I was over the moon from the start of shooting this shot to the final edit.It was my first time when I finally learned how to use a tracker after owning the tracker for one year. I was stunned after seeing those images. Never had a chance to shoot that long exposure, but found it was absolutely worth it.I was with my partner and friends at Pandanus on Litchfield, and definitely was thinking of shooting in a conventional style. So, I definitely wasn?t prepared. Also, the moon was going to

Originally showed up at Gouldsboro State Park at sunrise to get a backlit, misty shot of the island but when I got there, NO mist, and enough boats on the lake to walk across!Quickly decided to take a backroad to another favorite spot nearby, and slammed on the brakes as I was driving over a small bridge when I looked to the right and saw THIS scene. Finding it was sheer luck, but as always, just getting out there at first light is half the battle. Made this one standing right on the bridge.
